The news from my Bed and Breakfast in Spain

Zurgena, home of my Bed and Breakfast in Spain

Updated: Dec 29, 2023

Zurgena, a typical Spanish municipality in Almeria

Zurgena is a small Spanish municipality in the province of Almerƭa. Zurgena is located in the Almanzora Valley close to the towns of Albox, HuƩrcal-Overa and Los Carasoles and it is a good half hour drive from the tourist resorts such as Mojacar Playa, Vera Playa and Garrucha and about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Almeria city .

ā€‹

Being also very close to the A7/E15 motorway, this provides easy and safe access to Murcia, Almeria and Alicante airports.

ā€‹

The location of my B&B in Almeria makes it the ideal base for the many activities that can be found in the area and for a stay between the many appointments during your business trip.

The climate in Zurgena

Zurgena has a temperate climate all year round, as does the whole of the Costa Almeria. The temperature here rarely drops below 18C during the day. During the winter months the nights and mornings are a little chillier but during the day there are generally blue skies and pleasant temperatures most of the time during the day so a jacket is not necessary. During the summer months, daytime temperatures can rise above 30Ā° from May to August. From September, temperatures are milder and fluctuate around 20Ā° to 25Ā° during the day.

There is no shortage of beautiful blue skies in Zurgena. After all, the sun shines here on average 300 out of 365 days.

Walking route in Zurgena

The Almanzora railway trail is 12 km long and runs along what used to be the Guadix-Almedricos railway line, between El Chardero de los Canos, where the train collected minerals from Cable de Cabarga San Miguel, and over the metal bridge over the Ramil ravine. This route can be completed on foot or by bicycle and is also accessible for wheelchairs. This walking route also passes in Zurgena where B&B Casa La Vida Feliz is located

Diner at B&B Casa La Vida Feliz

Besides the fact that we are not very far from Albox, you can also enjoy a delicious dinner in my B&B every evening.

At B&B Casa La Vida Feliz I offer a complete meal every evening consisting of an aperitif, starter, main dish, dessert and a digestif. You can choose from wine, water or soft drinks with these dishes. Every evening we have a theme evening. We sometimes have a Chinese meal, Italian, Indian, Spanish or regular Belgian cuisine.

Of course, after enjoying these delicious meals, you can still enjoy them in our lounge or outside on the terrace with a nice wine in the lovely sunshine.

You can always enjoy yourself at B&B Casa La Vida Feliz, where you can stay with Belgians in Almeria.
