We are easy to reach by rental car from the airports of Almeria (1 hour), Murcia (1h15) and Alicante (1h50). There are numerous villages and towns in the area where you can shop, have a snack or have an extensive dinner in one of the local restaurants and tapas bars. Cities and villages such as Vera, Mojácar, Zurgena, Albox, Bédar, Lorca, Almeria, Velez Blanco and Velez Rubio are definitely worth a day trip.
